If their destiny is closely linked, their paths have diverged. William and Harry have never been so far apart. Since 2020 and the announcement of the departure of Meghan and Harry to Canada, then to the United States, the two brothers have lived in very different ways, one dedicated to his role as prince, the other freed from a family burden that 'he couldn't stand it any longer.

And despite this geographical distance, tensions persist. New revelations regularly arise about the sons of King Charles and the late Lady Di. The latest confidences to date come froma former butler who rubbed shoulders with William and Harry during their childhood.

William and Harry: different portions at breakfast

Indeed, Paul Burrell, who had worked with Princess Diana, said that William and Harry did not receive the same treatment when they came to the table. According to the former butler, the eldest received more often larger portions for breakfast than his younger brother. “When I look back now, I think I may have glimpsed the dynamics at play”he launched in the columns of

A difference made between the two brothers which was not uncommon, according to the one who lived alongside the royal family for several years.

William and Harry: differences causing tensions?

If he claims that William and Harry did not enjoy the same preferential treatment when they were children, Paul Burrell claims that Lady Di, for her part, never made a difference. The princess would have always placed her two boys in the same boat.
“In the eyes of their mother, they were absolutely equal. The princess adored them both. But I can see that Harry struggled to live up to the standard set by William.”added the ex-butler.

According to Paul Burrell, the differences between William and Harry would have only exacerbated the rivalries and would have ended up leading to the resignation of the youngest son from his position as a senior member of the royal family. “If we look at William and Harry, growing up as children, William was the heir to the throne, the firstborn and, therefore, he naturally had much more priority for media attention”estimated psychotherapist Helen Villiers at
