R1. 8th day, group B. Stade Briochin – CPB Bréquigny: 3-1
The first period, punctuated by inaccuracies, did not offer much to eat, the two goalkeepers were rarely called upon. The second half started with a completely different dynamic, a very nice movement from Mathéo Ntumi, stopped irregularly in the area, allowed the Stade players to obtain a penalty which Yacine Ahjaou transformed (1-0, 51 '). The reaction of the stung visitors was not long in coming. They equalized with a magnificent volley (1-1, 54'). Once the commitment was given, the griffons moved forward and penalized the Bréquigny players twice thanks to Mathéo Ntumi (55', 2-1) and Boubacar Diakhaby (56', 3-1).
The latter, like John Balzan, is one of the players who make the switch with the first team and who bring experience from the next level to this group. The last half hour of play returned to more classic standards and neither team managed to find the net.
There is always room for progress among young people, particularly on the psychological aspect, explained the Briochin coach Florian Le Moal who finds his group at the R1 level, adding that it must make progress in the management of its emotions. I feel that through this match, we will grow and I hope that we will have the same dynamic in the next matches, he concluded. Starting with a trip to Quessoy next Sunday which could allow the Briochins to hit the right wagon in the championship and move away from the relegation zone.
