Friday, November 29, Patrice Allano, president of the Saint-Jean committee, invited the volunteers to the annual general meeting. This year, it took place at the restaurant La Perrière, in Mûr-de-Bretagne. About fifty adults and ten children were present.
Discoveries in the chapel
After taking stock of the past year, marked by the St. John's Day meal and its 650 meals served, the 2025 projects were brought forward. “During the dismantling of the chapel furniture, paintings were discovered. A study was launched to find out its origin. The first assessment shows the interest in preserving this discovery and in planning work to bring to light what is hidden under a coating. The restoration of the altarpiece has also been carried out with the services of the Drac and the Departmental Council. We are waiting for the estimates,” the president said.
In addition to these major projects, volunteers will check the roof of the chapel, which has suffered slightly from various storms. No notable changes in the office. A shared meal closed the debates.
