Raymond, his faithful bicycle which accompanied himr his “Dijon-Beijing” journey in 2019is well loaded. Aurélie actually leaves between 4 and 6 months. She plans to cross Spain, Morocco and reach the town of Tataouine, in eastern Tunisia. An adventure that takes place without a timetable, according to discoveries and encounters.
Before the big departure, many people from Dijon, both relatives and strangers, came to greet Aurélie Gonet and even take photos. Encouragement which greatly affects the young woman. ” It is a surge of love and happiness. I've been preparing for over a month and here we are. I feel like I'll finally be able to rest“, jokes Aurélie.
A big trip and a prize pool
Aurélie Gonet will share her daily life on social networks throughout her adventure. The opportunity for her, to organize a prize pool for Zoé, the granddaughter of a high school friendsuffering from a rare genetic disease, Rett syndrome. Its goal is to raise at least 2,000 euros. This sum will finance a week of physiotherapy training in Spain scheduled for July 2025.
This care allows Zoé to learn to walk and gain daily independence. Aurélie Gonet will also take advantage of her trip through Spain to meet Zoé's caregivers in Madrid.
