Abdoul Diallo, 25, was placed in pre-trial detention this Saturday, November 30 after being presented to an investigating judge. Two days earlier, he had been extradited to France following his arrest in Portugal.
Defended by two Grenoble lawyers
The alleged murderer of Lilian Dejean is defended by two lawyers from the Grenoble bar, Me Ronald Gallo and Me Grégoire De Petiville. “Abdoul Diallo recognized his responsibility and its consequence, detention”explains Me Gallo to France Bleu Isère. Suspected of having killed Lilian Dejean on Boulevard Jean-Pain in Grenoble last September, their client already has 19 convictions to his credit. He was first incarcerated at the age of 15 and has spent six of the last ten years behind bars.
A 74-day run
This man living in the Grenoble area was arrested in Portugal, in the Braga region, on November 21 after 74 days on the run. On September 8, while responding to a road accident caused by his alleged murderer, Lilian Dejean was shot and killed. Aged 49, this 49-year-old father did not survive a bullet to the chest. Abdoul Diallo's identity papers were found in the damaged car.
