Several demonstrators held up a banner calling for an Intifada during a left-wing demonstration which took place on Saturday, November 30, in Romans-sur-Isère (Drôme). « Palestine, our anti-colonialist and anti-racist compass! Uprising and resistance »we could read. They strolled in the middle of the procession which brought together around 700 people, including the Insoumis deputy from , Raphaël Arnault, as shown in the images of the Dauphiné Libéré.

The procession was however organized by around twenty local associations to denounce « racist recovery » of the death of Thomas, 16, after leaving a ball in Crépol, almost a year earlier. It echoed a static gathering planned at the same time at the call of a small ultra-right group, Justice for Ours, to pay tribute to Thomas, whom he describes as a “victim of immigration”.
