Gymnastics – Noélie Ayuso, she becomes addicted to medals and gold in particular

We can't stop him anymore. Noélie Ayuso puts on the medals without embarrassment and with enormous talent. The gymnast licensed at Montceau Gym and member of the France pole in Saint-Etienne, began her career last May by winning the European title with the French junior team in Rimini (Italy). In Montceau, Noélie was the first to offer a title of champion of France, the first to return with the gold medal and the title of European champion.

Here she is also world champion, still in teams with Les Bleues, world champion on the balance beam and bronze medalist on floor at the world school sports championships (La Gymnasiade) which took place in Bahrain in October. As a symbol, three daisies with hearts of gold appear on her sweater.

At Montceau Gym, it's difficult to wait for July 2025 and the traditional awards ceremony to honor the world champion. Damien Ayuso, president of the club, couldn't resist putting the gymnast in the spotlight. “Your performances shine a light on Montceau Gym, the department and the entire region” declared his father.

Three medals, one bronze and two gold medals, the performance is great, even exceptional. “You knew how to exceed your limits. You are a performer,” Marie-Claude Jarrot tells him. In turn, Joël Labrune, president of the Departmental Committee, Jean-Luc Ducerf, president of the Regional Committee and Jean-François Villedieu, president of the Friends of the Bois du Verne festivities very warmly congratulated Noélie Ayuso.

The double gold medalist, who keeps her feet on the ground and a smile, remembers an exotic competition. “Over there in Bahrain, it’s very hot and very humid, it’s a change from here.” His only regret was competing in front of empty stands. “But it was a great experience, especially discovering another culture and meeting athletes from other nations.”

Soon, Noélie will move into the big leagues and become a senior. The goal she has dreamed of since she was little will be to participate in the Olympic Games. Los Angeles in 2028 is in his head.
