Once the 22 actors returned to business, it took around twenty minutes to recover from this interruption. Losses of balls, bad passes, balls thrown from left to right… The spectacle offered was of very low quality.

The first spark came from Zeqiri’s feet. The Swiss, launched in depth, dribbled past Delavalée before failing on Andreou. Fortunately, on the following action, Kuavita took advantage of the panic in the Carolote area to open the scoring (36th, 0-1). Price almost doubled the lead five minutes later, Andreou saving his team again.

Despite a few small opportunities at the end of the match, the Zebras returned to the locker room without having worried the Rouches defense.

Other ambitions in the second half

Starting Flips wasn’t De Mil’s best idea this Saturday evening. The French midfielder was aligned in support of Stulic, his preferred position. But he went through the first period like a ghost. De Mil had no choice: the former mauve was replaced by Mbenza.

The Carolos’ intentions have since become much better. Without being really dangerous, they cornered the Rouches in their part of the field. But watch out for counterattacks, but also for a certain lack of concentration. Delavalée almost paid the price, fortunately for him that Ayansa missed his lob.

The blow to the head that the Carolos needed. Moving forward again, Stulic did not go far from the equalizer but his attempt hit Bodart’s post.

Rik De Mil’s “all-out attack” finally bore fruit at the very end of the match. Charleroi is still looking for a scorer, in the end, it was three scorers who finished the match: Kyei, Stulic and Dabbagh. It was ultimately the last city that would snatch the draw at the very last second. No winner in this Walloon derby.

Charleroi improved in the second half, snatching a draw at the last second against Standard

After a poor first half, the Zebras reacted in the second half and ended up materializing their chances at the very end of the match via Dabbagh. Standard, for its part, held its score until the last minute before taking this goal. The Liégeois no longer offered anything during the second act.

This draw is celebrated as a victory at Mambourg before going to Antwerp next week. For Standard, it’s first a cup match at Genk this week before hosting the OHL in the championship. In the standings, the Zebras temporarily take a one point lead over the red zone. Standard is in 7th place at the gates of the Top 6.
