When are the polling stations open in the Rhône?

Polling stations opened this Sunday at 8 a.m. For most municipalities, they will be accessible until 6 p.m.

The offices of Caluire-et-Cuire, Chaponost, Corbas, Décines-Charpieu, Feyzin, Jonage, La Mulatière, Meyzieu, Mornant, Oullins-Pierre-Bénite, Saint-Fons, Saint-Genis-Laval, Saint-Priest, Sathonay Camp, Sainte-Foy-lès-Lyon, Tassin-la-Demi-Lune, Vaulx-en-Velin and Vénissieux will close at 7 p.m.

In Lyon and Villeurbanne, it will even be possible to vote until 8 p.m.

What do I need to vote?

The voter card is not mandatory. You can vote with your national identity card (valid or expired for less than five years), your passport (valid or expired for less than 5 years), your health card (with photo), your driving license (valid) and even your hunting license (with photo, valid, issued by the National Office of Hunting and Wildlife). Only the original of the document is accepted.

YOU you may have opted for proxy, that is, granting permission to a relative to vote for you. If you are the holder of someone’s proxy, you simply need to go to the polling station of the person concerned with your identity document and state your identity as well as theirs.

Also note: in a municipality with fewer than 1,000 inhabitants, an identity document is not mandatory. But in case of doubt, the president of the polling station may ask you to prove your identity by any means.
