The Namuroise, inevitably unbeatable after winning her third consecutive Olympic and European titles in the heptathlon, could no longer be beaten and it was with a comfortable lead that she overtook, with 79 points, Noor Vidts (56), his second runner-up in Paris, and Paulien Couckuyt (12), returned from hell after a cruciate ligament tear two years ago.
