Six years after the release of the album Finally!, which marked his return after 28 years of silence, the singer returns with new compositions. First extract from this opus, the single Sexcetera was revealed last November 18 exclusively during the TF1 news. A return to composition, but also to writing for Michel Polnareff, who wrote the lyrics of the title. “I contacted a lot of people for the texts, but I was a little disappointed, it didn’t inspire me. I said to myself, OK, I’ll do it like “A Simple Melody” and write the lyrics myself.”explains the artist, interviewed this November 30 by Le Parisien.

Michel Polnareff spoke about his work: “I’m right in it, right in the middle of recording. As soon as I leave you, I’m going back to the studio. We have to choose, I would like four songs and instrumentals. I took care of the texts, but we are in the middle of construction. The themes change all the time. Everything will be recorded at home and mixed in London by Tom Archer”. Asked about what is advertised as its « latest » tour, the musician was very firm : ” Ah good ! I never announced that. These words are not mine. I hope this isn’t my final album. The printer made a mistake. The tour, the same, is the ” behind “not the last ».

After this clarification and before returning to the studio, Michel Polnareff agreed to do some secrets about his personal life. With his usual repartee, the singer who arrived in the United States in 1973 did not hesitate to make fun of “this French obsession with numbers” in response to a question about the 50 years spent across the Atlantic. He was much more open in discussing Louka, her 13-year-old son whose mother is his partner Danyellah: “He’s almost 14 years old. I care more about his hobbies than his studies and his hobbies are fine. He has screens everywherefor the plane, the car, it’s interesting. He’s a gamer ».
