The Pau FC never recovered. Traveling to Vendée to face Saint-Philbert de Grand-Lieu (National 3). At the Jean-L'Eveillé stadium in Challans, Nicolas Usai's men had to doze off at the kick-off to concede a goal in the first minute of play. Handicapped by the injury exit of Ousmane Kanté after 10 minutes , the Béarnais only managed to restore the situation in the 96th minute, with a penalty converted by Bobichon!

But it was elimination that awaited the Pyrénées-Atlantique players, disappointing in this long trip to Loire-Atlantique. Because the penalty shootout started as badly as the match, with Pau failing on the first attempt. The amateurs emerge victorious (4-1) and head to the 32nd finals, leaving the professionals in the lurch with their regrets!
