After being interrupted yesterday due to the discomfort of one of the accused’s lawyers, the trial of Marcel Vadella resumed this Saturday, November 30.
This morning, Jean-Philippe Navarre, the attorney general, requested 15 years of imprisonment against the 50-year-old accused who has been appearing since the beginning of the week for the murder of Jamal Fadil and the attempted murder of his brother, Jaoide Fadil. Facts dating back to December 19, 2020 in the southern districts of Bastia.
For the representative of the public prosecutor, who described this trial as “singular”Marcel Vadella at “shot consciously and voluntarily” on the Fadil brothers. Although he mentioned premeditation, Jean-Philippe Navarre did not include it in his requisitions.
The sentence he requests against the Bastiais trader is less than half of that he faces.
Now, it’s time for the defense’s pleadings. The verdict is expected at the end of the day.
