Penultimate meeting of the season, the Qatar Grand Prix hosts the sixth Sprint of the 2024 season. This event, of around 100km, will take place from 3 p.m. French time and will see Lando Norris start from the first position, in front of George Russell's Mercedes. Winner last week of the Las Vegas Grand Prix, the Flèche d'Argent driver would like to continue in the same vein.
Oscar Piastri and Carlos Sainz will share the second row, ahead of Charles Leclerc. McLaren and Ferrari are engaged in a fierce fight for the Constructors' title, every point will count. For Max Verstappen, sixth on the grid, the essentials have already been acquired, since he won his fourth consecutive Formula 1 world champion title in Nevada.
Lewis Hamilton and Pierre Gasly will start on the fourth row, ahead of Nico Hülkenberg and Liam Lawson. Fernando Alonso will start eleventh ahead of Alexander Albon. Valtteri Bottas put in a great performance this Friday with the thirteenth fastest time, ahead of Lance Stroll's Aston Martin. Kevin Magnusen is ahead of Sergio Pérez, once again eliminated in the first part of qualifying, and relegated to sixteenth position. Yuki Tsunoda, Esteban Ocon, Guanyu Zhou and Franco Colapinto complete this starting grid for the Sprint, which will start at 3 p.m.
