During the board meeting of November 18, Jean-Marcel Boubinet was elected president of the Âge d'or, the Prigonrieux seniors' association. He paid tribute to Sylvaine Dassigny, whom he succeeds, who wanted to pass the torch. “On your behalf, I would like to thank her for the work accomplished over eight years, four years as treasurer and four years as president. I would also like to thank the entire board of directors and the volunteers who worked to ensure the smooth running of all club activities. »
Sylvaine Dassigny remains in the office as treasurer, while Martine Gaillard and Annie Lespinasse are respectively secretary and assistant secretary and Michel Clabaut assistant treasurer.
“Newbies are welcome”
Jean-Marcel Boubinet assured that the club's activities, to which members are “very attached and many participate”, will continue: Monday morning walk of 5 or 8 km in two groups; dance classes on Tuesday afternoon; card games, board games and crafts on Thursday afternoon; quines; belote competition; dancing meals; excursions; travel.
“With my entire team around me, whom I thank again for their availability and their investment, we have the same goal, to spend pleasant moments together. Our volunteers do extraordinary work, without them we would not be able to offer you all of these activities. Newcomers will be welcome. You are expected with your ideas, your arms, your legs and your good humor! (1)”, concludes the new president.
The Christmas meal will take place on Wednesday December 11 (unless canceled, it is full). The board of directors will meet again on Friday December 13, at 9 a.m., to decide on the planning of cultural and tourist visits for the year 2025.
