The fire, which caused no casualties, affected the storage area of a 450 m² building, slightly damaging this room located at the rear, according to the manager, Gérald Masson, busy with the procedures with his insurance.
The fire apparently started from a power outlet
The owner explains that the fire started from a power outlet and that there were already no more flames when the firefighters arrived, who intervened by cutting the iron curtain at the entrance to the store.
Gérald Masson deplores above all the presence of soot, which spread to the sales area, without however causing any material damage. Once the premises have been cleaned, sales can resume quickly.
In the meantime, the fishmonger, which is only open to the public on Friday and Saturday, will operate with the truck it uses in the markets during the week. It will be positioned in front of the establishment.
