This is an incident that definitely gives GRDF services a hard time. Since Wednesday November 27, 2024, hundreds of homes have been affected by a gas cut, after an incident that occurred the same morning on a pipe on rue de , in Fougères, during the rehabilitation of the wastewater network undertaken by the City.

On Thursday, the supplier announced a gradual return to normal for 360 affected subscribers (160 in Fougères and 200 in Javené). However, the first and then the second temporary repairs were not sufficient, leading to further cuts.

Around sixty customers without gas this weekend

Result: return to square one, Friday November 29, 2024. “We had to cut off the power supply to the 360 ​​homes this morning”indicates GRDF.

The final repair, initially scheduled for next week, was finally brought forward urgently this morning. “We hope to be able to get the majority of customers back on gas in the afternoon,” advances the supplier.

Around sixty subscribers from Fougères, domiciled at the bottom of rue de Nantes, will however not be there until Saturday or Monday at the latest, for technical reasons.

“We are doing everything we can”underlines GRDF, which informs that it distributed radiators for the weekend to the accommodation concerned and organized with the town hall to allow residents to take a hot shower.
