The Ukrainian authorities announced Friday, November 29, that Russia had handed over the bodies of 502 soldiers killed in the war between the two countries, without saying, however, whether this was an exchange.

Second repatriation
“The bodies of 502 fallen defenders were repatriated to territory under the control of the Ukrainian government”said the coordinating body for prisoners of war.
This is the second repatriation of this type this month, kyiv having recovered the bodies of 563 soldiers in early November.
Donetsk, epicenter of the fighting
The bodies “will be identified as soon as possible”specified this coordinating body.
According to this source, 397 bodies come from the Donetsk region, the epicenter of the fighting and the area where Russian forces are advancing against a Ukrainian army which lacks weapons and men.
kyiv has not specified whether Ukraine handed over the bodies of its killed soldiers to Russia in exchange, and Russian authorities, who almost never talk about losses in Ukraine, do not report such exchanges.
