The breakup of a pipeline under the sidewalk has caused a lot of chaos in the area of avenue Albert-Camus, in Mantes-la-Jolie (Yvelines), since the end of the morning, this Friday, November 29, 2024.
Water invaded the entire roadway and the axis was completely closed. “Diversions,” informs the City, “have been put in place to facilitate circulation and the safety of local residents. »
Veolia teams hard at work
The flooding is major. One of the football fields in Jean-Paul-David complexwhich runs along the avenue, was notably covered by water.
“The firefighters, the City’s technical services and Veolia are on site to secure the premises and restore the situation as quickly as possible,” adds the municipality in a communication on Facebook.
In the sector, the flow at taps is also affected. “It was reduced in order to limit water loss,” informs the City.
