For a reason still unknown, a house exploded in Tarn-et-Garonne and collapsed on its owner, research continues.
The house was completely destroyed and collapsed on itself after a sudden explosion, Friday November 29, 2024. Around 11:30 a.m., the owner had just returned home to his home in Meauzac (Tarn-et-Garonne) when the incident occurred.
The man barely had time to park his car, report our colleagues from La Dépêche du Midi. He could be under the rubble. The search continues Friday afternoon. Images of the completely blown house are circulating on social networks:
The explosion of a gas cylinder?
The cause of the explosion is still unknown. One of the hypotheses focuses on an acetylene bottle that the owner had at home.
Significant resources from the Sdis du Tarn-et-Garonne and the Castelsarrasin gendarmerie are deployed to secure the scene and try to find the man who potentially disappeared under the rubble of his house.
