As promised, Saber Interactive continues to regularly bring content to Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2. After the deployment of a first major update, then the addition of a new pistol, the studio has just announced that the next wave of content will land during the first half of December. In addition to this little information, we learn that the title has now sold more than 5 million copies since its launch.
Space Marine 2 celebrates its 5 million sales with the announcement of a big update
As part of patch 5 of Space Marine 2, the highly anticipated Dark Angels Chapter will finally arrive. This is a paid pack that will include a unique armor set and banner for the Rampart class. Three weapons, as well as the shield, will also be entitled to exclusive skins related to the Chapter. Saber Interactive has clarified that it will not be possible to customize the armor set.
In addition to this paid pack particularly awaited by Warhammer 40,000 fans, this major update will allow you to sport brand new pieces of armor, including the Mark VIII Ravenwing helmet.
To push customization even further, Saber Interactive will offer the possibility of changing the lenses of Space Marines thanks to a palette of 15 different colors.
Finally, a new Operation will be integrated.
“Called “Obelisk”, you will be sent to Demerium and your mission will be to rotate a replica of the obelisk in order to disrupt the flow of energy protecting the Aurora device. This operation takes place in parallel with the final events of the campaign. »
The studio also specified that when this new update has been deployed, mods will no longer be available in public PvE sessions, but will remain available in private sessions.
Finally, we learn that the studio has worked on an optimization for the PlayStation 5 Pro, which seems to be available now.
