A major water leak broke out this Wednesday around 6:30 p.m. Classes cannot be held today.

The Antoine-de-Saint-Exupéry college in Lempdes (Puy-de-Dôme) will remain closed this Friday. Despite the hard work of firefighters on site, the establishment will not be able to accommodate students today. Depending on capacity, the college will notify students who will be able to attend class on Monday morning. Around ten classes out of the 35 in the establishment were damaged. In the meantime, a big cleaning weekend awaits the school teams.

This Wednesday, November 27, the Antoine-de-Saint-Exupéry college in Lempdes (Puy-de-Dôme) was the victim of a major water leak. Strongly impacted, the school will not be able to welcome students today, Thursday. According to initial findings, around twenty classes were affected by the water.
Broken hot water tank
The incident was caused by the rupture of a hot water tank. The leak was spotted around 6:30 p.m. last night in the college of Lempdes. The emergency centers of Lempdes, Pont-du-Château, Mezel, Orcet, Saint-Beauzire and Égliseneuve-près-Billom intervened on site. The operations lasted until 10 p.m., time to remove as much water as possible.
On the college website, the principal published a message to warn parents:
Due to heavy flooding and in order to guarantee the safety of all users, the college will be closed Thursday November 28. You will be kept informed of a possible extended closure during the day on Thursday via the ENT.
Depending on the extent of the damage, the Antoine-de-Saint-Exupéry college could also remain closed this Friday.
