Invited on RMC and BFMTV this Friday, the LFI deputy, Manuel Bompard, returned to the announcements of the Prime Minister, Michel Barnier. The latter notably announced that he would not increase taxes on electricity. An announcement which the RN welcomed, declaring that it was a victory.
A victory that Manuel Bompard does not intend to leave to the RN alone. “I claim part of this victory, but it would really be a victory if Mr. Barnier completely renounced increasing the price of electricity, but that is not what he is doing,” he says.
“This budget remains as it is, even after Mr. Barnier’s announcements, a budget which will impact the purchasing power of French people. And therefore it is unacceptable in its current state. If Mr. Barnier persists in pass it through a 49.3 then we will table a motion of censure and we will obtain this censure”, he adds.
