Hanoi (VNA) – As part of its 8th session, the National Assembly (15th legislature) adopted on Friday, November 29, the Law on Fire Prevention, Fighting, Relief and Rescue.
This law was approved by 448 votes out of 450, representing 93.53% of the total number of deputies.
The law includes 8 chapters and 53 articles, regulating fire prevention and fighting activities, relief and rescue operations; the necessary forces and means; as well as the rights, obligations and responsibilities of all, whether agencies, organizations, households or individuals.
The law clearly stipulates the responsibilities of agencies, organizations, households and individuals in fire prevention and fighting, relief and rescue activities. More specifically, citizens aged 18 and over, and in good health, have the obligation to participate in local, specialized or civilian fire prevention and fighting and rescue and rescue teams if necessary. -VNA
