Schem’s post sparked many happy reactions. A pizzeria gave her free pizza for her bachelorette party, and singer Mendel Wonder offered to sing at her wedding.
Schem was kidnapped from the Nova music festival on October 7, 2023, when thousands of Hamas-led terrorists descended on southern Israel and carried out a pogrom in which they murdered more than 1,200 people and took 251 hostage, which sparked the war in the Gaza Strip.
The young woman was released 50 days later, as part of a week-long truce last November that saw the release of 105 women, children and non-Israeli hostages.
Since her release, Schem has spoken openly about the ordeals she endured in captivity in Hamas jails, including her poorly treated arm wound for which she received no painkillers, as well as the sexual harassment she suffered. from his captors.
Last month, at the Israeli consulate in New York, she revealed that she had been locked up for five days in a cage with five other young women whom she did not name and who are still in the hands of Hamas.
During a trip to the United States, Schem signed a contract with Israeli modeling agent Roberto Ben Shushan. For her first campaign, she presented… a line of wedding dresses!
