In the town of Campet and Lamolère, a driver of a Volkswagen Touran vehicle tested positive for alcohol with a level of 0.54 mg by the Mont de Marsan motorized peloton. During the check, elements made it possible to suspect the driver of consuming narcotics: a very strong characteristic odor of cannabis emanated from the passenger compartment of the vehicle, as well as from the driver's clothes. He was subjected to saliva screening, which test was positive for cannabis and cocaine. Furthermore, this driver was driving with a non-renewed driving license. Placed in police custody, he was subsequently presented before the Mont-de-Marsan judicial court for immediate appearance. He was sentenced to 12 months' imprisonment, including 6 months, without a warrant. Cancellation of driving license with ban on applying for it for 1 month. Confiscation of the vehicle. Duty of care. Obligation to work. Viable accommodation obligation. The Landes gendarmes remain mobilized for road users and ensure their safety.
