Floods that hit southern Thailand from November 22 to 29 killed 4 people and affected more than 240,000 households in 7 provinces, the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation (DDPM) said. . The most affected provinces are Nakhon Si Thammarat, Phatthalung, Satun, Songkhla, Pattani, Yala, and Narathiwat.

Nakhon Si Thammarat
Affected areas: 11 districts, 61 subdistricts, 409 villages.
Impact: 41,686 households affected.
Situation: The water level in Khlong Tha Di continues to rise.
Phatthalung
Affected areas: 5 districts, 31 subdistricts, 216 villages.
Impact: 8,250 households.
Situation: Decrease in water level in the Songkhla Lake basin.

Affected areas: 3 districts, 5 subdistricts, 23 villages.
Impact: 1,234 households.
Situation: The water level of the Langka River has fallen.
Songkhla
Affected areas: 16 districts, 109 subdistricts, 689 villages.
Impact: 52,338 outbreaks and 2 deaths (under investigation).
Situation: Increase in water level in the Songkhla Lake basin.
Pattani
Affected areas: 12 districts, 111 subdistricts, 597 villages.
Impact: 37,295 outbreaks and 2 deaths (under investigation).
Situation: Rising water level of the Pattani River.
Yala
Affected areas: 8 districts, 58 subdistricts, 344 villages.
Impact: 32,830 households.
Situation: Decreased water level of the Sai Buri River.
Narathiwat
Affected areas: 13 districts, 77 subdistricts, 553 villages.
Impact: 66,374 households.
Situation: Drop in water level of the Sai Buri River.
While some regions are now seeing water levels decrease, others continue to face rising water levels, particularly in Nakhon Si Thammarat, Songkhla and Pattani.
Rescue teams are working to evacuate residents from the most critical areas and provide emergency assistance. Crisis centers have been established to coordinate relief efforts, while distributions of food and drinking water are underway in disaster areas.
