Across France, 250 companies participated in the reconstruction and restoration of Notre-Dame Cathedral. This is the case of the Picard-Duboscq ironworks workshop, in Gouville-sur-Mer, in Normandy.
Thanks to rare family know-how in France, he was responsible for creating 160 meters of grilles and gates around the building. “Lots of hours of work” for David Cousin, one of the workshop’s artistic ironworkers, “very proud to have worked” for this project.
Same feeling in the Rhône, where the Vitrail Saint-Georges workshop took care of restoring 400 meters of stained glass windows in the cathedral. “There will never be other projects like this, it’s truly a historic project,” says Cécile Ayssi, one of the stained glass artists.
