A late gold medal
Tuesday, the biathlon champion Martin Fourcade won an Olympic gold medal… 14 years after his race! But how is this possible? In fact, he came second in a race at the Vancouver Olympic Games (in Canada) in 2010. And the Russian biathlete who came first has just been found guilty of doping. His Olympic title was therefore taken away from him. And it was Martin Fourcade who won the gold medal, making it his 6e Olympic title. Not bad for an athlete who has been retired for 4 years!
A break in the war
For over a year, a war has been going on in Lebanon, a country in the Middle East. Israel faces Hezbollah, an armed group classified as terrorist by many countries and based in Lebanon. But on Wednesday, a ceasefire was put in place. For 60 days, Israel and Hezbollah must no longer attack each other. This period without combat, called a “truce”, can then be extended to end the war. This is an important moment of respite for the populations affected by this conflict. Help can now reach areas that were blocked by the fighting. And it is a source of hope for the region.

A manga that hits
Last week, YouTuber Inoxtag published his first manga, Instinct. It tells the story of Haki, a 19-year-old young man endowed with a superpower: Haki manages to read the intentions of the people around him. Inoxtag's manga has had a record start in French bookstores. In just 4 days, it sold over 80,000 copies. It's huge: no first manga has sold so quickly in France. After climbing Everest, Inoxtag is once again the center of attention!
