MONTRÉAL, the 28 nov. 2024 /CNW/ – The Régie de l’énergie (the Régie) is deploying a new version of its interactive tool for visualizing regular gasoline prices in Quebec to allow consumers to better understand what makes up the price at the pump.
On June 25, the Régie launched this functionality on its website, offering increased transparency in terms of monitoring gasoline prices by region and sub-region. This improved version of the dynamic price statement for regular gasoline now includes the estimated price components. At a glance, it is now possible to visualize the price of gasoline broken down according to:
- The minimum acquisition cost and the transport cost between the loading ramp and the gas station;
- From the estimated retail margin;
- Specific fuel taxes and sales taxes.
The implementation of this new dynamic graph is part of a desire to make the Régie’s data more accessible and to ensure better transparency of gasoline prices for consumers in all regions of Quebec.
