Where to find the iconic Skippy gun in Cyberpunk 2077?
While playing Cyberpunk 2077you will quickly realize that there are many so-called iconic weapons. Generally more powerful than the others, the latter stand out above all for their passive abilities which change the way of playing for something more impressive. Among them, we find in particular the Iconic Skippy pistolwhich you may have already found while trying to do your side missions.
Indeed, to find Skippy in Cyberpunk 2077, you will just have to follow your secondary quest markers since recovering him corresponds to one of them. To save you from doing all the side quests to find Skippy, you can refer to the screenshot above to find his precise location. You'll find Skippy next to a dead body in an alley east of the Heywood neighborhood.
Which mode to choose on Skippy in Cyberpunk 2077?
As soon as you pick up the iconic Skippy Pistol, you'll quickly notice what makes it a unique weapon. Indeed, like a certain Claptrap in Borderlands, Skippy is a real talker who won't let you go for a moment. But during your very first conversation, he will offer you a very important choice. Indeed, it will offer you to choose a shooting mode between:
- Merciless killer
- Animal-loving pacifist
The first mode makes Skippy a real killing machine since you will only do headshots with it. The second makes it much less powerful since it will use non-lethal bullets which will take much longer to neutralize your enemies. However, contrary to what one might think, if you really want to keep Skippy and use it optimally, you must at all costs ask him to use the animal-friendly Pacifist mode. Indeed, whatever choice you select, Skippy will decide to change the mode permanently once you have neutralized 50 enemies with your first choice. If you start with Merciless Killer mode, you will end up with a Pistol that is destined for the trash after 50 kills.
Should we return Skippy to Regina Jones in Cyberpunk 2077?
Once you have neutralized 50 people with Skippy, you can continue to use it at will for a short while. After a certain time, the latter will speak to you again to ask you to return it to its original owner. You will then have the choice between listening to it or not, which will launch the mission The Machine Gun.
If you made the mistake of choosing Merciless Killer mode when picking it up, there's no debate, return the gun to Regina Jones. But even if you made the right choice at the beginning, we strongly advise you to return the weapon as well. Indeed, if you return it to Regina Jones, she will reset it to zero, which will remove the AI from the Gun. Following this, she will offer to buy it back for 7000 credits or return it to you. Skippy, renamed Daisy for the occasion, will still have the same shooting mode he got stuck on after 50 eliminations but Above all, it will no longer have the possibility of annoying you.
If you don't change Skippy back to Regina Jones, his voice will instead become much more annoying than before. He will insult you regularly and will even try to bother you by shooting randomly at times when you didn't want to do it, such as during infiltration phases for example.
