Champions League. Monaco calls on UEFA regarding the refereeing of the match against Benfica

During the defeat (2-3) of AS Monaco against Benfica this Wednesday, November 27 in the Champions League, Rade Obrenovic's performance was not appreciated by the Rocher club. The Slovenian referee was the author of several questionable decisions during the match, and his attitude towards the ASM players was also strange.

According to information from The Team AS Monaco will write to UEFA regarding the arbitration of the Slovenian official. “The yellow cards were given too quickly. In my opinion, perhaps the referee should have communicated more, even if we are guilty of protesting. I also received a card at the end of the game. But at that moment in the match, he should have done better and not given so much.”explained Adi Hütter after his team's defeat.

An attitude that questions

Rade Obrenovic was particularly harsh against the Monegasques. We think in particular of the yellow card for protest addressed to Denis Zakaria, while the latter, captain of the ASM, was entitled to discuss with the referee.

The red card addressed to Wilfried Singo was also questionable while Mr Obrenovic's gesture towards Thilo Kehrer does not seem excusable. After warning the German, the official signaled him several times to be quiet with his fingers.
