Anderlecht hosts FC Porto this Thursday (6:45 p.m.). A match for which David Hubert is deprived of Killian Sardella.
Sporting Anderlecht has revealed the list of players selected to face FC Porto this Thursday evening. Naturally, two long-term injured players are not in the game: Thorgan Hazard and Jan Vertonghen, whose return could however take place in 2024.
But the notable absence is that of Killian Sardella. The RSCA right back suffered an injury against La Gantoise and the verdict is not good: it is a tear, which will keep him away from the field for several weeks.
To replace him on the field, it will certainly be Thomas Foket who we will see again: an opportunity for the Red Devil who arrived last summer to finally show his advantage. But in the core, a little surprise. It is indeed Nunzio Engwanda who joins the group.
Engwanda was seen as one of the Neerpede players likely to join Group A this season. Brian Riemer had included him in the summer internship. But since then, the defender, who will celebrate his 17th birthday this Sunday, has not played a minute in the first team. He took his place on the bench in JPL twice, in August.
Nunzio Engwanda is not a right back but a central defender also capable of playing in the middle. He has 11 appearances in the Challenger Pro League this season.
