Wednesday November 27, a suspect was arrested in Grenoble (Isère) in connection with the murders of two women twelve years apart. The authorities have made the connection with the case of the “Disappeared from Isère”.
Wednesday November 27, in Grenoble (Isère), a man is suspected of the murders of Nathalie Boyer and Leila Afif, two women killed 12 years apart(New window) in two different ways. The sixty-year-old's DNA was found in the seals of Leila Afif's file, 24 years after her shooting. The gendarmes made the connection with another murder in the region, that of Nathalie Boyer in 1988. This 15-year-old girl was found with her throat slit, without the murderer being identified.
The suspected man lived near the girl's home. He reportedly has a criminal record that attracted the attention of investigators. Is this the beginning of a response in the so-called Disappeared from Isère affair? This case brings together disappearances and murders never elucidated in the department, of which Nathalie Boyer was a part. “Are we on the trail of a serial killer? ? It is possible“, explains Jacques Dallest, former attorney general of Grenoble.
