A man was taken into police custody on Tuesday, suspected of having threatened to kill an agent of the Gironde prefecture, franceinfo learned from a source close to the case, Thursday November 28. This source adds that his police custody was extended on Wednesday and that he admitted the facts. The agent and the chief of staff of the prefecture filed a complaint.

According to the first elements of the investigation, the business manager accuses the latter of having intervened in the judicial liquidation of his company. He is suspected of having told the prefecture agent that he had guns and that he was going to use them. After searching his home, however, the police found no trace of weapons.
Contacted by franceinfo, the Gironde prefecture does not wish to “no comments” on this matter. The Bordeaux public prosecutor’s office has not responded to requests at this time.
