The successful offer for the group purchase of electricity and gas has been revealed. Pre-registrations, a necessary step to benefit from it, end this Saturday, November 30, 2024.
Initially at the end of October, the deadline for pre-registrations for group purchases of electricity and gas for residents of the Auxerrois urban community was extended to Saturday November 30, 2024. This phase is imperative to be able to subscribe.
Tuesday November 26, 2024, there were already more than 2,060 to have done so. “This additional time was necessary, because more time was needed to allow people to understand why it is favorable for them and to be convinced,” explains Philippe Vantheemsche, vice-president of the Agglomeration in charge of the environment, sustainable development and the climate plan.
A green and “very interesting” offer
The selected offer offers, to registrants, electricity 31% lower than the regulated rate, and gas 13% cheaper than the benchmark. “These are really very interesting offers,” underlines the elected official. These prices are fixed for three years with the possibility of termination at any time. The subscription portion is identical to that of regulated rates. These amounts are excluding taxes because they depend on the State and apply to each contract whatever they may be. The environmental aspect is not negligible either, with 100% green origin for electricity and 10% for gas. »
Other arguments raised by Philippe Vantheemsche to support this offer: “The possibility of receiving a paper invoice at home and customer service based in France. »
To lower energy bills, group purchases of electricity and gas relaunched in Auxerrois
The registration campaign has been launched since September and, unsurprisingly, the announcement of the successful offer caused “a peak in pre-registrations” following the competition between suppliers. Six responded according to the Auxerrois urban community, which has offered support since the beginning of autumn with individualized consultations and public meetings.
Popular information meetings
Administrative questions are also very frequent during public meetings. “We are often asked the question of how to cancel our current offer,” she explains. A process which is entirely carried out by its new supplier. But also on the difference with regulated prices, or even relating to the subscription part in the chosen offer. The latter is really based on the EDF subscription and its regulated prices, which is also interesting because other market offers can have a very attractive KWh price, but offset by a very expensive subscription. Which is not the case in our proposal. »
