The National Assembly examines the bill “to repeal retirement at 64”, presented by the deputies of La France insoumise as part of their parliamentary initiative day, which takes place in the hemicycle this Thursday 28 november. Our special show and the debates to follow live video on this page.
After a first victory in committee last week, the opponents of the 2023 pension reform will they manage to transform the test, this Thursday, November 28, in the hemicycle of the National Assembly? This is the issue of parliamentary initiative day of La France insoumise.
Notre special show and the debates in the hemicycle to follow, in live videobelow :
The group chaired by Mathilde Panot defends a proposed law “to repeal retirement at 64”voted on Wednesday November 20 in the Social Affairs Committee, thanks to a addition of the votes of the New Popular Front and the National Rally. A text to which oppose the government and the political groups that support itthat is to say the former presidential majority and the right.
In the hemicycle, the standoff could last from 9 a.m. to midnightthe time allotted for a day of parliamentary initiative, without a vote on the entire text. Even if the bill is adopted at first reading, the pension reform would however still be far from being repealed. Beyond the symbolic and political victory that a vote against the reform in the National Assembly would represent for its opponents, the repeal of the postponement of the legal retirement age to 64 seems moreover out of reach in the current national political configurationthe government and the Senate being opposed to it.
