The collision took place in the town of Trèbes, avenue général de Gaulle, around 5:15 p.m. A motorcycle and a vehicle were involved. The motorcyclist, a 22-year-old man, was in critical condition when emergency services arrived. Despite the emergency treatment provided, they were unable to resuscitate him. Firefighters dispatched two ambulances and a road emergency vehicle to the scene. The Smur doctor was also on the scene. The passenger in the car, shocked but not injured, was transported to the emergency room of the Carcassonne hospital center. Traffic was diverted during the emergency response.
