Placed under arrest warrant since the end of last September, Jérôme Bandiaky, commonly known as Sniper, is preparing to appear before the judge.
Initially scheduled for November 26, 2024, its first hearing on the merits was postponed, according to information from Dakaractu which cites a source close to the case. The judge made the decision to postpone this hearing until Thursday, November 28, due to a last minute unforeseen event.

According to our colleagues at Libération, the case, which concerns the violent demonstrations that shook Senegal, led to a new arrest. This is Sakory Ka known as Papis, the brother of ex-minister Doudou Ka. The latter was placed in police custody yesterday, following an action by the Criminal Investigation Division (Dic), in accordance with the judicial delegation of the dean of judges.
Sakory Ka, nicknamed Papis, according to certain family sources, was responsible for securing the homes of his brother Doudou Ka and taking charge of the security elements in Dakar and Ziguinchor. However, investigators seem to have evidence contrary to this version. Papis’ name actually emerged in this investigation after Jérôme Bandiaky, during his hearings, cited him as the person who allegedly sold him a weapon found in the apartment he occupied.
