The fire was probably of accidental origin. However, it will be up to the investigation by the Nogent gendarmes, who were on site, to determine the causes of his departure.
The annex he took in was a wooden chalet, used as a garage and laundry room. It was completely destroyed.
On the other hand, the firefighters, who arrived very quickly, were able to stop the spread of the flames to the house adjoining the chalet. And if the shell of a nearby mobile home partially melted, the carcass remained intact.
Two shocked residents of the house were examined by firefighters. Transport to the Chaumont hospital center was not planned.
The electricity and water, which had been cut off in the home, would remain so. The residents of the house had to be rehoused with their families.
