Matthew Perry, who became a millionaire thanks to his role as Chandler Bing in the hit TV series Friendswas said to have had a personal fortune of $1.5 million (about $2 million Canadian) at the time of his death.

The late actor’s personal funds were added to a trust worth more than $120 million (about $163 million Canadian).

Matthew Perry left a will with numerous beneficiaries, according to court documents reported by the Sun USThe actor had already set up the Alvy Singer Living Trust, named after Woody Allen’s character in the film Annie Hall. He chose his father John Perry, mother Suzanne Morrison and half-sister Caitlin Morrison as beneficiaries, as well as his ex-girlfriend Rachel Dunn, whom the star dated from 2003 to 2004.

Documents indicate he owned no property in California at the time of his death. Sun confirmed that the $6 million Pacific Palisades home where he died is in the name of his longtime business manager, Lisa Ferguson, and is not yet on the market.

Matthew Perry was found unresponsive in the hot tub at the property in October 2023. An assistant pulled him out of the water and called for help, but he could not be saved.

After his death, autopsy reports revealed that he had died of a ketamine overdose. Although it was common knowledge at the time that he was treating his depression with the drug, the dose found in his body was apparently not intended for medical purposes.
