The death of the former member of One Direction would not be the result of suicide, but perhaps more of an accident.
Based on witnesses, the police report, emergency calls and surveillance footage, it is becoming increasingly clear that Liam Payne was locked in his hotel room au CasaSur de Buenos Aires before his fatal fall, “Liam hated being locked in hotel rooms. It reminded him of his One Direction days, when he was never allowed to go out.”écrit TMZ, at the origin of these new revelations.
New surveillance video from the hotel lobby shows the 31-year-old singer causing mayhem shortly before his death. Three hotel employees are seen lifting the former One Direction member and carrying him to the elevator. Victim of convulsions, he is taken to his room. In the images, the star still appears clearly conscious.
Once he arrived in front of his room, the singer did not want to go in. Hotel staff used a pass to open it, before escorting Liam Payne inside and leaving him alone. According to a statement in the investigation file, an employee remained outside in front of the suite door, “to prevent the singer from returning to the lobby and disturbing other customers.”
An accident rather than a suicide
According to TMZLiam Payne is said to have informed hotel staff of his intention to escape through the balcony. The receptionist then allegedly called emergency services a few minutes later, saying there was a balcony in the room and the hotel was concerned he might accidentally hurt himself. “I don’t know if his life is in danger, but he’s in a room with a balcony and we’re a little scared…”he would have declared in particular during this call.
“When his body was found, he had a shoulder bag and a cap which he was not wearing when he was last seen in the entrance hall” of the hotel, notes the American site.
It seems that Liam Payne has tried to move from the third floor balcony to the second floor balconyhoping to jump to the ground from a shorter distance. This theory is supported by the police report which states that two days after the singer’s death, a hotel employee went to the room directly below Liam Payne’s and discovered a bag on the balcony brown leather case with a note inside saying “for Liam”, along with various pills and a bottle of Jack Daniel’s whiskey. The report states that the bag in question belonged to the British artist. TMZ so guess he would have thrown the bag onto the second floor balcony before trying to go down.
