Increase in gas prices

The year 2024 will end with an increase in the cost of gas. The benchmark sales price for natural gas published each month by the Energy Regulatory Commission (CRE) announces an increase of 2.2 to 2.8% for December. For cooking and hot water use, it will increase to 0.14135 euros per kWh (compared to 0.13839 €/kWa in November) and to 0.11237 €/kWa for heating use (compared to 0.10932 €/kWa in November). ).

The Christmas bonus arrives on December 17

The Christmas bonus, a boost to more than 2.2 million low-income households, will be paid on Tuesday December 17, one week before Christmas Eve. For beneficiaries of RSA (active solidarity income), the amount of this bonus (unchanged since its creation) will be 152.45 euros for a single person, 228.67 euros for a household of two people and 274. 41 euros for three people. Following an agreement between Health Insurance and the unions of private doctors reached last summer, the price of a consultation with a general practitioner will increase to €30 from December 22, compared to €26.50 currently. . Furthermore, the prescription of tramadol and codeine by secure prescription, previously announced on December 1, has been postponed to March 1, 2025.

Price increases also coming to specialists

On December 22, prices at certain medical specialists will also increase significantly. Especially since this is a first step, before a second increase planned for July 1, 2025. Today at €30, an appointment with a gynecologist will cost €37 then €40 in July 2025 Also set at €30, the consultation of a geriatrician will increase to €32 then €42. Visiting a psychiatrist currently costs €46.70. It will be €55 then €57.

Same trend for pediatricians. Bringing your child under two years old will be charged €39 at the end of December then €40 in July, compared to €38.50 today. For children aged two to six, the price will increase from €33.50 to 35 euros – with no additional increase planned for July.

Salaries in the hotel/restaurant sector increased

Good news for hotel and restaurant employees. Their salaries will be increased according to a decree dated November 5, published in the Official Journal of November 9. From December 1, the minimum wage paid to employees in this sector will be set at 12 euros gross per hour, slightly more than the current 11.88 euros per hour (hourly minimum wage rate).
