Alain Bauderon: “It’s the big disappointment of the match”

In Le Mag, the journalist Alain Bauderon discussed the performances of some Girondins de Bordeaux players against Saint-Malo, starting with Yanis Merdji.

“It was the big disappointment of the match, because he was the center forward, he was possibly the support point. We know that this is not really the strength we can expect from him, but he did not weigh on the opposing defense.”

Then he delivered a few words on Adrien Louveau.

“Since the start of the season, there has been one player who impressed me, it was Adrien Louveau. I didn't find him very good in this match. Ok, he’s present, but he doesn’t do much.”

Laurent Brunhe projected himself onto the future, evoking the coming return ofAndy Carroll.

“There will be the return of Andy Carroll. We are still dependent on this player, in the game, but also on a human level, by what he brings, by his purity of soul. To think that this guy was a professional, internationally recognized, and that today he is playing with a group of young people and that he is having a blast, that does the group good. Not only in the game, but also in the group, humanly speaking, and structurally speaking, it can only be better. But it wasn't great against Saint-Malo in terms of bonding, in fact.”
