The Russians are advancing east
Among the 188 drones launched, 76 were shot down by the Ukrainian army in 17 Ukrainian regions. Nearly 100 others were rendered dysfunctional by the armed forces' electronic jamming. Still according to kyiv, five aircraft managed to escape towards the neighboring Belarusian border. The capital was targeted by “more than 10” Russian drones according to the city’s military administration. Explosions were heard by AFP journalists during the offensive, which lasted more than five hours.

Lacking equipment and human resources, the Ukrainian army is struggling to respond, despite the authorization given by the United States to be able to use long-range ATACMS missiles on November 17. According to the American think tank Institute for the Study of War (ISW), Russia has advanced several dozen kilometers in the east of the country. Advances have increased in recent weeks, thanks to an offensive carried out with the help of North Korean soldiers.
