Several changes await the French during this end-of-year period. While the majority of new features will be applied from January 1, certain adjustments will come into force from December 1. The French will therefore have to prepare to face it in the coming days.
Among these changes is the increase in the price of gas which should be 2.5% on average in December, according to the Energy Regulatory Commission (CRE). This increase may vary depending on usage. For example, for heating, the cost per kWh will increase from 0.1093 euros to 0.1124 euros, which represents an increase of 2.8%. The price of this energy has continued to increase in recent times. However, good news awaits employees in the hotel sector.
These workers will benefit from a salary increase starting in December. “The minimum wage which must be paid to employees is the conventional minimum of step 1 of level I set at 12.00 euros and not the hourly rate of the minimum wage of 11.88 euros which is now lower than this conventional minimum”, can we read on the website of Journal L’Hôtellerie Restauration. Another change concerns the inhabitants of Île-de-France. Aid intended to finance the purchase of an ecological vehicle will be eliminated. As a reminder, this system allowed you to benefit from a financial boost of up to 9,000 euros.
Adjustments to medical prescriptions and consultation amounts in December
The most important changes to take into account concern the health sector. The first concerns the prescription of two medications which represent a danger to health: tramadol and codeine which, from December 1, will be prescribed only by secure prescription. In addition, the maximum prescription duration will now be 12 weeks.
The aim of this approach is to protect patients from the expense due to excessive consumption of these two tablets. In detail, the competent authorities indicated that this obligation concerns “medicines containing tramadol, codeine and dihydrocodeine, alone or in combination with other substances (paracetamol, ibuprofen, etc.). The prescriber must have written in full: the dosage, the dosage and the duration of treatment,” reports Cnews.
Another change to expect is the increase in the price of consultation with the general practitioner, which goes from 26.50 euros to 30 euros. For children under 6 years old, the price also increases, from 31.50 euros to 35 euros. This new price list will take effect from December 22.
