“Our work has a price! », “Reduced qualifications and salary, staff on point! “. Armed with their sign, the seven agents of the Samsic service company had the firm intention of winning their case. This Monday, November 25, they decided to start an indefinite strike until they obtain an increase in their salary, promised by their company. Ultimately, the strike only lasted one day. In an email to the press on Monday afternoon, the agents announced that they were ending their mobilization because they had obtained what they wanted.
“We were told that our salaries were going to be reclassified”
To understand the situation in which these employees find themselves, we have to go back to last August. It was during this month that they learned that the company Samsic, whose headquarters is based in Cesson-Sévigné, near Rennes, won the call for tenders launched by the Lannion-Trestel Hospital Center. Until now carried out by the Derichebourg company, cleaning of the hospital premises is now the responsibility of Samsic.
“Originally, we were employed by Derichebourg, so we already knew the premises of the hospital center. We were offered to join Samsic. In this context, we had individual interviews,” says an employee who wishes to remain anonymous. “It was during these interviews that we learned that we were not paid according to the scales in force. We were told that our salaries were going to be increased. »
Only the salaries of team leaders increased
Only after they are hired, the days pass and they do not see any increase on their pay slip. “In November, we decided to send an email to those responsible. On the 15th, we were received in a meeting. This is where we learned that only the salaries of team leaders were going to be increased. »
The following week, as a sign of discontent, the agents decided to go on minimum duty and, since Monday, on an indefinite strike.
For its part, the management of the Lannion-Trestel Hospital Center explains that it is in contact with the Samsic company “to follow the evolution of the movement”. According to the hospital, “the company was organized today [NDLR. lundi 25 novembre] to bring in agents from other sites to compensate for the absence of strikers. »
Contacted this Monday, November 25, Samsic services have not yet responded to our requests.
