My first steps in Africa were with Cameroon… In the mid-90s, I was indirectly involved in the civil war in Congo, being close to the current President who was deposed in July 1997 by a bloody coup d’état instigated by the current President, Denis Sassou Nguesso. After this tragic episode, I helped, on site, to participate in the reconstruction of the country with local economic solutions.
