The Ain firefighters experienced a lot of activity on Saturday November 23. Several fires have ravaged homes throughout the department.
Miribel
One broke out early in the afternoon in a house on Grande rue, in Miribel. It started on the chimney and spread to the roof.
Saint-Didier-de-Formans
Another started in the afternoon in the air conditioning unit of a house on Chemin des Vignes du Château in Saint-Didier-de-Formans.
Saint-Maurice-de-Gourdans
At the same time, a little before 4 p.m., a fire broke out in an abandoned residential building on Chemin de Montobert, in Saint-Maurice-de-Gourdans. This two-storey house of approximately 300 m2 was completely engulfed in flames when the firefighters arrived and the roof collapsed.
Hauteville plateau
Saturday morning, firefighters were also still busy with clearing operations in a house ravaged by fire which broke out a little before midnight in Plateau d'Hauteville, route de Corlier. The fire started in the attic and partitions of an isolated residential house. Twenty-eight firefighters and ten engines were involved. The fire was extinguished using two hoses.
