Aldi urgently recalls this contaminated pizza
This is the case this month with an alert which has just been given concerning a D’ANTELLI® brand chorizo pizza. Identified this week on the Rappel Conso website, this pizza sold by Aldi is suspected of being contaminated with listeria.
Listeria is a bacteria that can cause a serious infection called listeriosis. The main clinical forms of this disease include sepsis and infection of the central nervous system.
Listeriosis can also be fatal for pregnant women. Serious forms with “maternal or fetal complications can also sometimes occur,” warns Rappel Conso.
Immunocompromised people and the elderly must also be particularly attentive to these symptoms. The mode of contamination of listeria is most often of food origin via the ingestion of contaminated food.
This is the case of this 450 gram chorizo pizza marketed under lot number 309. The latter was put on sale in Aldi stores from November 8 and 18, 2024 in only certain regions.
These are Burgundy-Franche-Comté, Centre-Val de Loire, Grand-Est, Hauts-de-France, Île-de-France and Normandy. Another element to recognize it: its expiration date goes until November 29, 2024.
If you think you bought this pizza and you still have it in the fridge, don't eat it. Instead, Aldi offers to bring it back to the store (without proof of purchase) for a refund. You have until Monday December 2, 2024 to carry out this process.
